Brickman Family were pioneers of
the fledgling wine industry in the Hunter
Valley planting vines in the the Rothbury
area in the 1830's having sustained them
during long sea passage from their native

In
fact for many years Rothbury estate
produced an annual Brickman vintage range.
The current Brickman Vineyard in Paynes
Crossing area was planted 15 years ago
and the vines are now reaching their full
potential. The rich granite and sandy
loam soil on the banks of the Wollombi
Brook provide an ideal terrain for the
production of award winning wines
Our crisp Semillions, fruity Chardonnays
and rich Shiraz wines have been well
received by the judges at successive shows.

Boutique Wine Show include Brickman
Semillon 2002, Silver Medal, Brickman
Unwooded Chardonnay 2003 Gold medal
& Trophy, Brickman Semillion 2003
